When I got up this morning and checked my web site at Mac20 Questions I found a message telling me that it was unable to connect to the database. The whole of WordPress works off a MySQL database, in case you didn’t know. Yesterday evening it was working fine and no problems. I have no idea what could have happened but I was really glad of having a backup. I use a Database back up tool plugin that sends me by email every day the database zipped up to my gmail account. Worth its weight in gold this morning.

I was able to open up Cyberduck , my FTP application and upload the database to the correct folder and it appeared in the Godaddy account MySQL page for restoring from. Really easy to do and a total life saver.
